Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah - The Stupid Show

Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been runinng since July 2008 on SAB TV. To be precise, on July 28, 2008, the first episode was aired.  It has the luxury of prime slot i.e. 8.30 PM since then.

Actually, it is a Sitcom wherein there is a society named Gokuldham. The society has the mixed of residents. There is a Sikh family (Roshan Singh Sodhi), a Marathi (Bhide Master), two Gujarati families (Jethalal Gada and Mehta Saheb), a South Indian (Iyer), a North Indian (Dr Hansraj Hathi). There is one bachelor Patrakar Popaltal too in the society and shop owner Abdul and Tapu Sena. There are outside society characters like Natukaka, Bagha and Bavri.

The key characters of serial are Jethalal Gada and Daya Gada who are the heart and soul of the serial. Their comedy timings, facial expressions and dialogue deliveries have sailed through the serial so far. In fact all characters have their unique talent and proves their importance and existence in the serial. Bhide Master, Patrakar Popatla, out of society characters like Bhagha and Natukaka have excellent comic timings and their own way of creating laughs.   

The tussle between Jethalal and Bhide, Jethalal's undying crush for Iyer's wife Babita, Patrakar Popatlal's one liner 'Duniya hila dunga' and Natukaka's love for English speaking create some laugh. 

Since quite sometime, the quality of serial has been deteriorating and its key characters are helpless. It seems that writers are not putting their sufficient efforts to write good scripts to maintain the goodwill of the show. They are unnecessarily stretching the episodes for any given situation. The scripts are very sloppy and no good punches which can make you laugh like a lunatic.

By this serial, sometimes they try to give some message to the society. And to do that, they create some situation to give such message. There was one topic of save the water. There is a scarcity of water and they create the situation to make you realized the importance of saving the water in your life. Gokuladham society residents too face water scarcity. The water tanks on the roof go empty. There is a lot of melodrama on that situation. There is hustle - bustle, uproar and commotion in the society over the water scarcity. In every home, there is only one topic that there is no water in the tap. The stupidity goes on and on.  The society's secretary Bhide buys water tank and all stupidity spreads to create some laughter but miserably fails.

Amid all scarcity of water, all society residents decide to praise the God to eradicate water scarcity. They gather at the temple in the society premise to pray God to solve water problem as soon as possible. They pray and all of a sudden watery clouds surround the sky. There happens to be a couple of thunder  strikes and heavy rain starts falling.  It's miracle, the Almity  listens them. Well, then it is the scene where all residents start dancing in rain with big smiles on their faces. Everyone is happy in the camp as the water pours more and more. Well, the point here is, the producer tries to give the message of saving water, but the unfortunate part is they waste gallons of water to shoot that scene. How stupid the serial is! The producer is giving the message to save the water by wasting water. Really, that serial sucks, isn't it?
