Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been runinng since July 2008 on SAB TV. To be precise, on July 28, 2008, the first episode was aired. It has the luxury of prime slot i.e. 8.30 PM since then. Actually, it is a Sitcom wherein there is a society named Gokuldham. The society has the mixed of residents. There is a Sikh family (Roshan Singh Sodhi), a Marathi (Bhide Master), two Gujarati families (Jethalal Gada and Mehta Saheb), a South Indian (Iyer), a North Indian (Dr Hansraj Hathi). There is one bachelor Patrakar Popaltal too in the society and shop owner Abdul and Tapu Sena. There are outside society characters like Natukaka, Bagha and Bavri. The key characters of serial are Jethalal Gada and Daya Gada who are the heart and soul of the serial. Their comedy timings, facial expressions and dialogue deliveries have sailed through the serial so far.
